The 'owners manual' states that the gross vehicle weight is 1550 kg. So far I have found tyres
rated at 79(437kg) & 83(487kg). Anybody have any views on the suitability of these?

It does this for half a mile (give or take) then goes back to normal. A mechanic took a look and said everything looks o.k. and it only passed it's m.o.t. in December with no steering problems. So is this normal on a HiJet ?

Now i want to fit my CD player i'm a bit reluctant to cut the Blank out of the dashboard just under the heater controls, in case there is not enough room at the back. Does anyone know the maximum distance allowed at the back of this blank ? it does not seem to be very deep to me, but i could be wrong. Any observation would be appreciated. We have fitted the engine from a Hijet into the tuk tuk. I am just trying to add the new engine number from the van to the tuk tuk log book. I am not sure what part I put down. My original engine number appears on my log book as: EF444............. So do I put the new one on as: CB422101........ or just as: 2101.......... ????????. I did not get a log book with the van I bought and because it was never to go back on the road then I did not ...
